Bridging Brunei!

Temburong Bridge is a 30-kilometre bridge currently under construction in Brunei. It will connect Mengkubau and Sungai Besar in Brunei-Muara District and Labu Estate in Temburong District.

It will be the longest over sea crossing in south east Asia when built and is designed to provide improved access for residents of Temburong to avoid travailing through Malaysia. The local government hopes the new bridge will boost the country’s capacity for eco-tourism and development.

Pitchmastic PmB , part of the USL Group, was awarded the sub contract to install its PmB structural waterproofing system to the entire length of this mega bridge. This is the largest bridgedeck waterproofing project ever undertaken by the USL Group.

The PmB system protects the reinforced concrete from the effects of water and airborne contamination that would otherwise lead to corrosion and deterioration of the structure. Works are being carried out at a terrific pace and commenced in April 2019 and due for completion by November 2019.
